We all know about the rich celebrities who pay as much money for a coffee as others pay for a whole holiday trip. But how do these people spend their vacation? Probably not in one of the 4-star family hotels. In the most exclusive locations, renowned hoteliers have created luxurious monuments that attract a very special and small customer group – the richest 1% of the planet. They spend five-figure sums per night and leave no space for imagination in the most expensive hotels in the world – and we have looked into some of them more detailed!
5. Maharajah’s Pavilion in Raj Palace

Being one of the most expensive hotels in Asia, the Maharaja Pavilion in Raj Palace was built in 1727, previously as the Maharaja Palace. It is located in Jaipur, India, and extends over four floors at a price of not less than 34,000€ per night. In general, that is a really big sum – but especially for Indian standards. However, you can expect the rooms to be fully booked at most times.
Included in the price for the Pavilion Suite you will have a private elevator to your rooms and a more than 1,400m² space for you and your guests. The hotel also features a private museum, swimming pools, a library and an in-house butler!

If you book a night at the Hilltop Estate Delana, you will have private bath- and livingrooms, guest apartments, a private pool area and a library on 1,200m². Also, food and most drinks are complimentary. However, this place comes at a price of 48,000€ per night.

The Four Seasons Hotel in New York houses is one of the most expensive hotels in the world. Named after the billionaire owner of the Four Seasons, the Ty Warner Suite is the most expensive suite in the entire hotel and it took around seven years to construct, design and finish the suite. The result is a 400m² penthouse suite at a height of 200 meters, directly in Manhattan. One of the best things about the suite is probably the 360 degree view over New York’s skyline and its large glass balcony. However, there are also nice-to-haves such as a piano and a library included as well as a chauffeur driving a Rolls-Royce.
2. President Wilson Hotel in Geneva

A Taste of Luxury
Even if any of us had 50,000€ lying around, there might be better options to spend them than sleeping a night in one of the most expensive hotels. However, these suites and penthouses are real and some people actually book them for more than a night. When it comes to luxury, your imagination can probably never capture everything that is possible and we hope that we could give you a good overview of what is possible (theoretically, with a big wallet).
